Yang Xie

Senior Scientist in In Vitro Pharmacology, Pioneering Medicines

Yang Xie joined Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵAPP in 2024 as a Senior Scientist in In Vitro Pharmacology for Pioneering Medicines. In her role, she leads cutting-edge research to advance the understanding of metabolic diseases, leveraging her extensive experience in the design and execution of ex vivo and in vitro studies.

She completed her postdoctoral research at Weill Cornell Medical College and later moved to Brigham and Women's Hospital-Harvard Medical School, where she discovered novel molecular mechanisms in for skeletal muscle-mediated regulation of hepatic steatosis and insulin resistance. Previously, Yang investigated the roles of diverse nuclear receptors in the progression of hepatic injury and carcinogenesis and her research has resulted in several publications.

Yang completed her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Pharmacy, where she was honored with the Graduate Student Excellence Award and the Norman R. and Priscilla A. Farnsworth Student Award. Additionally, Yang serves as a member of Editorial Board of Endocrinology. She has also earned several accolades, including the Poster of Distinction from AASLD and the AHA postdoctoral fellowship in 2023.
